QR-based item identification at the point of sale
TagMyAssets carried out QR code inventory tagging for an art and décor retailer, client anonymised, to speed up billing and make individual items easier to find. Each item received a unique QR code linked to its record in the client’s accounting software, so staff could identify a piece at the point of sale by scanning rather than searching for an SKU by hand. The result was faster billing, accurate item identification and a tagged inventory base the client could maintain going forward.
